The Quattroporte designation is a discreet, dynamic flourish across the dashboard. There, the blue Maserati clock takes pride of place, centrally mounted and encircled by a delicate chrome surround. Ahead of the driver, between the large speedometer and rev counter, a 7-inch TFT display presents essential dynamic data, while at the center of the dash is the advanced and intuitive Maserati 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Located on the center console is a rotary control that operates the touchscreen, along with a convenient storage compartment for phone and accessories.

The seats, upper dashboard and armrests are finished in fine, hand-stitched leather. Extensive trim detailing in genuine open-pore Radica wood, or other optional trims such as carbon fiber, provides a smooth and graceful contrast. MTC+: the 8.4-inch Maserati Touch Control Plus (MTC+) unit takes pride of place at the center of the Quattroporte dashboard. With a minimum of buttons plus a highly responsive interface, it is designed to help the driver maintain focus on the road ahead. MTC+ can be operated in three ways: via the multi-touchscreen, the rotary control in the central console or through voice commands. MTC+ incorporates the Quattroporte’s multimedia and cabin functions, such as seat heating, ventilation and steering wheel heating.

Lane Departure Warning

LKA provides valuable input if the driver is about to unintentionally leave a lane. A digital camera behind the rearview mirror continuously monitors road markings to keep track of the course ahead. The instrument panel display shows the specific status of the vehicle. White lines on either side of the vehicle image indicate that it is safely in lane. One yellow line indicates that the Quattroporte is moving off-center, right or left. One flashing yellow line warns of lane departure. At that point, when the Visual & Haptic box is selected in the touchscreen display, LKA actively steps in with corrective steering torque. Activation of the turn indicator overrides the system.

Active Blind Spot Assist and Rear Cross Path function

With this system, a warning icon appears in the exterior door mirrors when a vehicle enters the driver’s blind spot. Three levels of support can be selected if the driver nonetheless initiates a lane change. Minimally, the system maintains the visual alert in the door mirrors; additionally, alerts are backed up with an acoustic warning. Or for maximum intervention, the system applies steering torque in the opposite direction of the attempted lane change. The intensity of this torque is also adaptable according to preference.
